Setting Up
1. Install the latest version of Synapse with the Chroma SDK
Download and install Razer Synapse with your Razer Chroma peripherals connected. The SDK Core Files will be automatically downloaded and installed if a Razer Chroma peripheral has been detected.
In the event whereby you need the SDK Installer, you can download the latest version at our Downloads section.
2. Read the Getting Started guide and the Documentation
Check out the Developer Checklist to know what to look out for.
3. Try out the Sample Application and Emulator
The application will allow you to try out the effects for each SDK supported devices. You are also able to view the source code to better understand how the code works.
The emulator allows you to view how the effects look like on the peripherals.
4. Loading a sample code
Open a C/C++/C# code editor with Microsoft Visual Studio and load the Sample Application project (from Step 3).
5. Writing your code
Begin coding your Chroma App either by editing the provided sample codes or starting a new project. Use the API to help you understand the SDK syntax.
6. Compiling
Compile your completed code into an executable (.exe) application.
7. Distribution
You can now distribute your Chroma App via the Chroma Workshop by contacting us here.
